UPDATE: CANYON COUNTY CORONER TO CONDUCT AUTOPSY IN FATAL TWO-VEHICLE CRASH IN CALDWELL

CANYON COUNTY, Idaho – Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred
Monday, June 8th, 2026, at 9:20 p.m., at the intersection of East Linden Street and South Kimball Avenue in
Caldwell.

A silver 2011 GMC Sierra driven by a 28-year-old male from Guatemala was driving westbound on E Linden St. A
white 2007 Pontiac G6 driven by a 35-year-old male from Caldwell, Idaho with three juveniles in the vehicle was
driving southbound on S Kimball Avenue. The GMC failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the Pontiac in
the intersection.

The driver of the Pontiac succumbed to his injuries on scene. The three juveniles in the Pontiac were transported by
ground via ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the GMC was transported by ground via ambulance to a local
hospital and was later arrested and booked into Canyon County Jail.

The Canyon County Coroner has identified the driver of the Pontiac as 35-year-old male, Miguel Vasquez, of
Caldwell. He succumbed to his injuries on scene. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the extent of those
injuries.

The Canyon County Coroner’s Office extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Miguel, who
tragically lost his life in last night’s fatal vehicle collision. “Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and
friends during this difficult time,” said Jennifer Crawford, Canyon County Coroner.

CANYON COUNTY CORONER IDENTIFIES INDIVIDUAL INVOLVED IN FATAL VEHICLE CRASH IN CALDWELL

CANYON COUNTY, ID — The Canyon County Coroner has identified the victim of a tragic two-vehicle collision that occurred on Monday, May 25, 2026, in Caldwell, Idaho. The deceased has been identified as Juan Amador Lopez, a 24-year-old male out of Homedale. According to the coroner’s report, Amador Lopez sustained blunt force injuries as a result of the crash and succumbed to his injuries on scene.

The incident occurred near Simplot Boulevard and Farmway Road, where the vehicle driven by Mr. Amador Lopez crossed the center line colliding head on with a Kenworth commercial vehicle. “Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time,” said Jennifer Crawford, Canyon County Coroner.

Update: Autopsy Results from Nampa Man Found in a Canal South of Caldwell

Caldwell, ID – The Canyon County Coroner’s Office completed an autopsy earlier today on the 62-year-old Nampa man who was recovered from a canal yesterday by the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office. The results of the autopsy indicate that Robert W. Nourse died from drowning due to compromising health conditions that prevented him from swimming to safety after falling into the water.

CANYON COUNTY CORONER IDENTIFIES VICTIM IN NAMPA SHOOTING

CANYON COUNTY, Idaho — The Canyon County Coroner’s Office responded Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at approximately 15:46 to a reported incident at the intersection of North 21st Street and Industrial Way in Nampa.

Upon arrival, the Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Josiah Gilliam, a 26-year-old male and resident of Boise, Idaho. Mr. Gilliam succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Following an autopsy, the cause of death has been determined to be multiple gunshot wounds.

The manner of death and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation by local law enforcement. No more information will be released at this time.

FATAL AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT AT CALDWELL AIRPORT

CALDWELL, ID— Last week, the Canyon County Coroner’s office responded to a fatal aircraft accident that occurred on February 6, 2026, at Caldwell Airport.

The victim has been identified as Bayne Just, a 79-year-old resident of Nampa, Idaho. Out of respect for the family, no additional personal details are being released at this time.

The incident remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). The cause and manner of the accident have not yet been determined and are pending the outcome of the investigation.

CANYON COUNTY, Idaho — A fatal motor vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 84 eastbound near milepost 32 on February 6, 2026.

CANYON COUNTY, ID — The Canyon County Coroner’s Office has identified the individual who died following a car accident on I-84 eastbound at milepost 32 west of Nampa on July 31^st, 2025, as David Richardson, age 57, a resident of Boise.

The Coroner’s Office was dispatched after life-saving measures were unsuccessful. David Richardson was pronounced deceased at the scene, having sustained blunt force injuries from the accident.

The investigation is being conducted by the Idaho State Police. No further information will be released at this time.

CANYON COUNTY CORONER IDENTIFIES ADULTS IN AIRPLANE CRASH IN NAMPA

CANYON COUNTY, ID — The Canyon County Coroner’s Office has identified the individuals who died following a plane crash in Nampa on June 27th, 2025, as Jestene Leroy, age 30, and Brandon Leroy, age 43.

The Coroner’s Office was dispatched after life-saving measures were unsuccessful. Jestene Leroy and Brandon Leroy were both pronounced deceased at the scene. Both having sustained multiple blunt force injuries.

The investigation is being conducted by the Nampa Police Department. No further information will be released at this time.

CANYON COUNTY CORONER IDENTIFIES 68-YEAR-OLD MAN WHO DIED IN CALDWELL IN JUNE 14th INCIDENT

CANYON COUNTY, ID — The Canyon County Coroner’s Office has identified the individual who died following an incident in Caldwell on June 14, 2025, as 68-year-old Donald Teeter Jr., a resident of Caldwell, Idaho.

The Coroner’s Office was dispatched to the scene after life-saving measures were unsuccessful. Mr. Teeter was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Both the cause and manner of death are pending as the investigation continues. The incident is currently being investigated by the Nampa Police Department. No further information will be released at this time.

The deceased has been identified as Jose Teran Chaparro, a 31-year-old male from Nampa. According to the coroner’s report, Chaparro sustained blunt force injuries as a result of the crash. The manner of death has been determined by the coroner’s office to be accidental.

The incident occurred at the intersection of E. Amity Avenue and Diamond Street, where Mr. Teran Chaparro was a passenger in the vehicle involved in the crash.
