The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is excited to announce the launch of a new custom smartphone application. The mobile app “Idaho Sheriff Connect” will serve as an innovative way for CCSO to connect with residents and visitors, providing important information quickly and efficiently.
“We are excited to be one of the first law enforcement agencies in Idaho to offer a custom smartphone app to our residents,” said Sheriff Kieran Donahue. “It will be a great tool to help us better connect with our community by providing breaking news updates, event information, and media releases directly to their phones.”
The Idaho Sheriff Connect Mobile App was developed by TheSheriffApp.com, a brand of OCV, LLC., which specializes in mobile app development for sheriff’s offices and public safety organizations nationwide. The app offers quick access to items of public interest and is designed for ease of use. With just a click, users can access CCSO features such as:
- CCSO Services/Programs
- Submit Tips
- Public Records Requests
- Jail Information & Inmate Search
- Sex Offender Registry
- Driver’s License Appointments
- Employment Information
Users can also sign up for push notifications to receive important safety information during emergencies and events, media releases, and more.
“We are honored to work with Sheriff Donahue and the Idaho Sheriffs’ Association to make this offering available to Idaho’s Sheriffs,” said Kevin Cummings, Partner and Chief Revenue Officer of OCV. “Mobile apps allow public safety agencies to put valuable information directly in their citizens’ hands—right on their smartphones.”
The app is now available for free in the App Store and Google Play. Search for “Idaho Sheriff Connect” or click here.
In addition to CCSO, two other Idaho sheriff’s offices—Bonneville County and Benewah County—have rolled out the app. Additional sheriff’s offices are expected to go live in 2025.
