The Board of Canyon County Commissioners are excited to invite the public to a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of “The Center,” the new Expo Building at the Canyon County Fairgrounds. This event marks the completion of a significant addition to the fairgrounds, designed to enhance the experience for all attendees and support a variety of community events. The ceremony will take place on the opening day of the Canyon County Fair, Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 11:30 A.M.

The $7.6 million, 45,000-square-foot facility features a modern, sleek design and includes a 30,000-square-foot air-conditioned expo hall, indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, and the new Fair administrative offices. This multi-use facility will serve as a key venue for the Canyon County Fair, City of Caldwell events, the Caldwell Night Rodeo, Simplot Stadium events, and activities at the College of Idaho.
The groundbreaking ceremony for this project was held on July 28, with representatives from Boise-based HC Company, Caldwell City Council, Caldwell Urban Renewal District, and Fair Director Diana Sinner joining the Commissioners.
