CANYON COUNTY HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

County offices will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.  In addition, most county offices will also be closed on the day after Thanksgiving and the day after Christmas. Please note that dispatch, patrol, and the jail are continuous operations and not included in any closure notifications. The Coroner’s Office will be on-call for all of these days. Below is a list of county office closures or modified hours for the upcoming holidays:

Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 23)
All county offices will be closed. The Courthouse, DMV, and Administration Building will also be closed. Celebration Park will remain open to visitors, although the Celebration Park Visitor Center and the main parks’ offices will be closed.

Day after Thanksgiving (Friday, November 24)
Most county offices, including the DMV (Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Title and Registration), will be closed.  The Court Clerk’s office will remain open; and the Prosecuting Attorney, Public Defender, and Juvenile Probation will maintain minimum staffing levels to handle the court calendar. The Recorder/Passport office will close at 2 p.m.  Celebration Park will remain open to visitors with staff on-site from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. to provide tours and staff the Celebration Park Visitor Center. The landfill will be open normal business hours (8 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.).

 Christmas Day (Monday, December 25)
County offices will be closed. The Courthouse, DMV, and Administration Building will also be closed. Celebration Park will remain open to visitors, although the Celebration Park Visitor Center and the main parks’ offices will be closed.

 Day after Christmas (Tuesday, December 26)
