IDAHO COURTS CLOSED DECEMBER 24th AND 26th, FILING DEADLINES EXTENDED

Caldwell, ID — The Idaho Supreme Court has issued an order designating December 24 and December 26, 2025, as nonjudicial days for the State of Idaho. As a result, Idaho courts will not conduct judicial business or hold court proceedings on those dates, except as permitted by rule.

The order comes after Governor Brad Little’s decision to extend two additional paid holidays to state employees on December 24 and 26, 2025. Under Idaho Court Administrative Rule 44(a)(14), any day appointed by the Governor as a public holiday is considered a nonjudicial day.

The Supreme Court has also ordered that any filing or payment due to the Idaho courts on December 24 or December 26, 2025, will be considered timely if filed or received by Monday, December 29, 2025.

Members of the public with scheduled court matters or filing deadlines are encouraged to plan accordingly.
